XgardIQ XgardIQ

Xgard IQ is an intelligent and versatile gas detector and transmitter compatible with Crowcon’s full range of sensor technologies. XgardIQ is available fitted with a variety of flammable, toxic and oxygen gas sensors and provides a bright OLED display with clear and comprehensive status information in a range of languages. Bright LEDs indicate detector status at a glance, the unique Positive Safety LED confirms the detector is operating safely and alerts operators to any irregular events that may affect product integrity. XgardIQ provides comprehensive and powerful output signal options; analogue 4-20mA signal with auto sink/source detection feature and RS-485 Modbus communications are provided as standard.

HART communications can be provided both over the analogue signal and via local I.S. terminals for diagnostics via any HART asset management system or hand-held device. ATEX and IECEx certified for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, XgardIQ has been designed for long-life operation in extreme environments. Featuring a rugged 316 stainless steel construction and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +75°C, XgardIQ is suitable for the most demanding applications.

Xgard Xgard

The Xgard range is a comprehensive selection of fixed point gas detectors that meet the diverse requirements for gas detection in industries throughout the world. This includes many water treatment, oil and gas, power, research facility and manufacturing installations. Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) or Flameproof (Exd) versions are available, with case options comprising high-grade alloy, stainless steel or chemically resistant GRN polymer. Certifications include IECEx, ATEX, UL, GOST-R and MED.

Over 30 long life sensor types available, including electrochemical, pellistor, infra-red & thermal conductivity measurement technologies. Rugged & reliable, with ingress protection to IP65 as standard. IEC61508 SIL 2 compliance demonstrates high integrity design. Low cost of ownership, with plug-in sensor modules for quick and simple replacement. Flexible installation options, including mA or mV output versions. Wall or ceiling mounting as standard, with accessories available for duct mounting and sampling applications.

TXgard TXgard PLUS

TXgard Plus is a flameproof (Ex d), ATEX and UL certified toxic or oxygen gas detector with local LCD display. A choice of sensors are available enabling use in a wide range of applications, including water treatment, oil and gas exploration, chemical plants and steel production.

Calibration can be performed locally without the need for hot work permits. Local display and magnetic key enable calibration without opening the junction box. A 4-20mA signal is provided and optional alarm and fault relays are available to drive local alarm devices such as beacons or sounders. 3 colour LED status indicator and backlit LCD display ensure status can be seen locally. Constructed using highly durable marine-grade alloy with a tough polyester coating. Ingress protection to IP65 as standard.

IRmax IRmax

IRmax is an ultra-compact infra-red (IR) gas detector that delivers rapid, fail-safe detection of hydrocarbon gases and vapours. The IRmax gas detection system offers the choice of a detector only, a local gas/status display, a remote gas/status display or non-intrusive calibration via an I.S. calibration tool or hand-held HART communicator.

Fast response with a response time of only 4 seconds, IRmax provides rapid detection of hydrocarbon gas hazards. Designed and proven for compliance with IEC61508 SIL 2, IRmax has been rigorously tested in offshore environments. IRmax is fully temperature compensated for operation in environments from -40°C to +75°C. IRmax continues to detect gas with the optical system 90% obscured by salt or other contaminants. The level of obscuration (contamination) can be checked easily via the IR Display, and a fault signal is generated when optics are 90% obscured. IRmax has been subjected to intense long-term tests for reliability in hot, cold, wet and saline environments.

safecellar Safe-Cellar

From fermentation through to distribution, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is one of the most common hazards to health in breweries, cellars and drinks outlets. It is also the fourth most abundant gas in the atmosphere. Long term exposure to only 0.5% volume represents a toxic health hazard. Concentrations greater than 15% volume can lead to death.  SafeCellar has been designed specifically to warn personnel of these hazards. SafeCellar is the cost effective CO  and Oxygen (O2) monitor for breweries, wineries, cellars, beverage dispensing areas, fast food outlets and hospital, university and industrial laboratories.
