Loop Isolators

The SEM1000 isolator is designed to be series connected into a new or existing (4 to 20) mA current loop and provide an isolated (4 to 20) mA signal capable of driving into 500 + maximum load. The output is powered from the input loop. This isolator requires no user adjustment during commissioning. Minor adjustments can be made to the calibration of the device by means of the two front panel accessible calibration potentiometers. Incorrect connection in the loop will not damage the device as long as the specified maximum currents/voltages are not exceeded.
The SEM1020 isolator is designed for use when power is available at both sides of the isolation barrier. This isolator requires no user adjustment during commissioning, apart from an initial test, to ensure it operates correctly over its full working range. Minor adjustments can be made to the calibration of the device by means of the two front panel accessible calibration potentiometers. Incorrect connection in the loop will not damage the device as long as the specified maximum currents/voltages are not exceeded.
The SEM1200 isolator is a dual output isolator, providing two separate isolated (4 to 20) mA current signals from a primary loop. The output loops must be powered externally.
The SEM1603i is a isolating current loop convertor. It accepts any input between (-10 to 25) mA, even inverted inputs, and provides the user with a standard two wire (4 to 20) mA output signal. Isolation is provided between input and output. Typical uses include providing extra drive capability for an exisiting current loop and providing signal scaling and inversion. The input only needs 54mV from the loop. Designed for ease of use, the SEM1603i is configured with our USB port powered configuration module. The module interfaces a PC USB port to the SEM1603, using the (4 to 20) mA loop to communicate.
