Because the flow volume in channels changes proportionally with the level height, the VEGASON 61 ultrasonic sensor with its non-contact measuring principle is the ideal solution for this particular measuring task. Without contact with the medium and the danger of contamination, the sensor accurately measures the level, and thus the momentary flow volume.
All common flume profiles, like e.g. Venturi, V-Notch or weir, are already pre-programmed in the sensor software.
Individual flume profiles can also be programmed by simply entering index values.
